The King St Great Race Ball has been referred to as New Zealand's premier party. A feature on the Waikato social calendar in 2003-2008, it combined masquerade, extravagance, indulgence and mind blowing entertainment for its often 1800 capacity guests.

Seven entertainment areas were uniquely and exquisitely decorated in keeping with the Ball's overall theme which ranged from the greatest parties of the world to Moulin Rouge meets Cirque Du Soleil.

Each event featured over 100 performers providing simultaneous live music and entertainment.
